Hotel Room Design

Arranging hotel rooms has always been complex, complicated and often mistakes of execution are masked through decorations. The hotel room is a limited space because the surface where you have to embed all the functions of the bedroom, allocation of vast storage facilities, functions, possibly a bar etc.

In few words, the hotel room needs to take over and maintain vital functions of housing for residents who choose to retire from their daily life for relaxation, rejuvenation or business meetings. In my proposal, I wanted to frame a maximum efficiency of space in relation to lighting solutions.

The bed is dressed in a skin of plywood wood which rises on the wall and ceiling, in this enclosing both down light good for reading as well as a strip of led perimeter due to the bed slats.

All the switches have been designed as an integral part of the furniture, applied or embedded in certain cases. In front of the bed lies a body of soldier with a TV that can be rotated, DVDs and multi-media technology.

This soldier is made from MDF plates that have been designed as rugged boxes on the metal frame, with two plates of matte plexiglass 40% applied to the front and behind there are led strips. Thus the soldier becomes, besides storage function, a light fixture. The soldier is also a good divider from the sleeping area to the TV.

The proposed bath is separated from the rest of the room by a matte sandblasted glass. The mosaic was chosen to contrast with the green olive areas located on the front of the furniture.

The bathroom was conceived as an airy space that benefits of a large glass surface. Thus emphasis was on the right volumetric, strong lines, sharp contrast and a pretty cheerful atmosphere.

In the bathroom was thought a chaise-longue with chromatic white tiles made with draws of marble and the mosaic on the wall with the sink is made of Rhodes marble.
